Remember the song “American Pie,” and how nobody really knew the story behind the lyrics? It was distributed by Mayday Music Inc./Yahweh Tunes Inc. in 1971 (see images at bottom of article). Don McLean (who wrote and sang the song) was disappointed that nobody understood his meaning—but he never revealed his meaning either. Most assume it was about music and contemporary politics, or about Buddy Holly, etc.
What is the truth? Please consider the following. It is not a complete interpretation—maybe you have some ideas as well? Please share. Here we go……..
Music = Gospel truth (“The truth is music to a truth seeker’s ears….”)
Grass = People
Marching Band = Armies / Military Industrial Complex
Jester = Satan
Verse 1 A long, long time ago, I can still remember how that music (Gospel truth) used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance That I could make those people dance And maybe they’d be happy for a while (if he could teach them the truth)
But February made me shiver With every paper I’d deliver Bad news on the doorstep I couldn’t take one more step. I can’t remember if I cried When I read about his widowed bride (Messiah’s widowed bride, Israel) But something touched me deep inside The day the music died (when the truth is no longer heard, we are in delusion)
So, bye-bye, Miss American Pie (we lose the truth, we become “End Times Babylon”) Drove my Chevy to the levee But the levee was dry (No more living water, a reference to immersion/baptism) And them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye Singin’ “This’ll be the day that I die, This’ll be the day that I die” (The wages of sin is death).
Verse 2 Did you write the Book of Love (the Scriptures) And do you have faith in God above If the Bible tells you so (i.e., do you believe the Scriptures)? Now do you believe in rock n’ roll? Can music save your mortal soul (Can the Gospel truth save your mortal soul?) And can you teach me how to dance real slow? Well, I know that you’re in love with him ’cause I saw you dancin’ in the gym (refers to going after pagan gods, pagan feasts, Christmas, Easter/Ishtar, etc.) You both kicked off your shoes (we willingly went and celebrated) Man, I dig those rhythm & blues (our attitude)
I was a lonely, teenage broncin’ buck With a pink carnation and a pickup truck, But I knew I was out of luck (he was crushed when we rejected the truth for our own pleasures) The day the music (truth) died. I started singin’
Verse 3 Now for ten years we’ve been on our own (10 years represents a “complete cycle of time.” We have cut ourselves off from Yahweh) And moss grows fat on a rollin’ stone, But that’s not how it used to be (we are supposed to be living stones in His temple, but we corrupted our way) When the Jester sang for the King and Queen (world powers follow after the devil) In a coat he borrowed from James Dean (James Dean was g*y) In a voice that came from you and me (now the whole world promotes g*y rights) Oh, and while the King was looking down (Who wore a crown of thorns? Yahushua Messiah) The Jester stole his thorny crown (Anti-messiah/pope counterfeits everything Yahweh does) The courtroom was adjourned No verdict was returned (the judgment has not been given us yet) And while Lenin/Lennon read a book on Marx (Lenin followed Marx’s advice and closed down the churches, while John Lennon was also a socialist/satanist) The quartet practiced in the park And we sang dirges in the dark (funeral songs for the truth) The day the music died. We were singin’
Verse 4 Helter Skelter (Beatles song refers to wars) in a summer swelter, The birds (bird represent demons) flew off with a fallout shelter (the elites hiding in their underground bases) Eight miles high and falling fast (ballistic nuclear missiles) It landed foul on the grass (it landed and killed many people) The players tried for a forward pass (we start to wake up and try to come closer to Yahweh, to take back what was lost) With the Jester on the sidelines in a cast (the devil is being held in check and is working thru those who serve him either by choice or delusion). Now the half-time air was sweet perfume (30 minutes of silence in heaven at seal 7 = 20.6 years?) While the Sergeants played a marching tune (the military/UN lead). We all got up to dance Oh but we never got the chance ‘Cause the players tried to take the field, The marching band refused to yield (we tried to restore the nation and faith, but the UN troops / beast powers refused to yield). Do you recall what was revealed (the man of sin, the son of perdition / the pope) The day the music died? We started singing
Verse 5 Oh, and there we were, all in one place (FEMA camps) A generation lost in space (lost in our selfishness) With no time left to start again. So come on, Jack, be nimble, Jack be quick! Jack Flash sat on a candlestick (jumpin jack flash it’s a GAS GAS GAS) ‘Cause fire is the devils only friend (may refer to the huge incinerators in the FEMA camps) Oh, and as I watched him on the stage (the anti-messiah’s Temple?) My hands were clenched in fists of rage (we hate evil and we see the whole world willingly taking the mark) No angel born in Hell Could break that Satan’s spell. And as flames climbed high into the night To light the sacrificial rite (the death and incineration of the saints) I saw Satan laughing with delight The day the music died. He was singin’
Verse 6 I met a girl who sang the blues And I asked her for some happy news But she just smiled and turned away. I went down to the sacred store (the church) Where I’d heard the music (truth) years before, But the man there said the music wouldn’t play (the church no longer teaches the truth). And in the streets the children screamed. The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed. But not a word (of truth) was spoken—the church bells all were broken. And the three men I admire most, The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost (we have turned away from Yahweh, so He has turned away from us) They caught the last train for the coast The day the music died. And they were singin’
Bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levy But the levy was dry. And them good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye Singing this’ll be the day that I die, this’ll be the day that I die. They were singin’ Bye-bye, Miss American Pie Drove my Chevy to the levy But the levy was dry (let the evil be evil and let the righteous be righteous….no more chances no more opportunity to repent) And them good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye, Singing “This’ll be the day that I die.”
